Two main transport corridors of federal and regional significance pass through the territory of the Sverdlovsk Region:

Latitudinal transport corridor

It includes the Trans-Siberian Railway and the federal highway "Perm - Yekaterinburg", "Yekaterinburg - Tyumen". And it is the main transport corridor of federal significance ensuring the movement of goods through the territory of the region from west to east.


Meridional corridor

Includes the railway "Ekaterinburg - Ivdel" and the highway Chelyabinsk - Ekaterinburg - Serov - Ivdel. And it is the main transport corridor of regional importance, ensuring the movement of goods across the region from south to north.
